About Us
A place to heal
Anchored in Christ. Restored in Love.
The Ark is a group of Coptic Orthodox priests, counselors, life coaches, psychiatrists, and servants who felt called by the Holy Spirit to serve families with a loved one struggling with same-sex attraction (SSA), previously referred to as homosexuality. We recognize the pain and silent torment your family may be experiencing. We have seen how, within Middle Eastern society—and even among some church communities—families have faced harsh judgment, isolation, or belittling comments. We see you. We feel your pain. And we are here to help—free of charge. This service is for all of you—our brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters—who have lived under the weight of shame and guilt. The Ark was founded in May 2024 with open arms to welcome you into a safe and healing space.
OUR MISSION
We provide unwavering support, understanding and acceptance to families with children navigating their journey with Same-Sex Attraction (SSA). While embracing them with love and compassion, we uphold our values without endorsing their behaviors and actions. We foster a non-judgmental environment to both parents and children to embrace their identity as children of God created in His image.
OUR NAME
Like Noah’s Ark, ARK will sail with you on a journey of healing, leading to a peaceful and hopeful destination. While the rainbow in Noah’s story has been adopted by the LGBTQ+ community to represent diversity, ARK reclaims the biblical foundation of the story—anchored in God's promise and purpose.
